Location: Glendale, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Mid Shift | 1:00PM to 9:00PM
Department: Quality Control
Reports To: FRC Manager
Salary: Competitive, Based on Experience

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team in the aerospace and defense sector. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all components, assemblies, and finished products meet the strict quality standards and specifications required in the aerospace industry. Your attention to detail and commitment to compliance are critical to supporting mission-critical programs and maintaining our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical and/or electronic components per aerospace quality standards.
  • Verify products and processes comply with AS9100, customer specifications, and internal quality procedures.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMMs) to validate tolerances.
  • Interpret and inspect per engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Document and report non-conformances using NCRs and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Assist in internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure traceability of materials and components.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace, defense, or a high-precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, and industry-specific compliance standards.
  • Proficient in the use of mechanical/electrical inspection tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with inspection and documentation software (e.g., ERP, QMS, SPC tools).
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to defense contract requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a DoD or FAA-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent ASQ certification.
  • Experience with CMM programming or operation (PC-DMIS a plus).
  • Knowledge of FAI (First Article Inspection) and FAIR per AS9102.
